For nearly half my life I’ve been creating through motion pictures, working in different roles in the creative industries but always focused on the same end vision: making stuff happen in the best possible way.
I call myself a Director with a creative vision. My experience in production and technical roles has given me the skills and awareness to stretch budgets and technical constraints to their limit to help ideas flourish. I see every brief as a challenge to get involved, with the creative concept as just one part of the solution. My end-to-end knowledge of processes and workflows, the technical craft and the available advertising channels allows me to come to identify the challenges early on and home in on a truly creative and effective solution.
Many creatives will cross their fingers and hope for the best. That’s a gamble. Because I know how to see the source of potential failure before it occurs, my clients get to their creative goals faster and more securely, saving money and headaches along the way.
I love a challenge and the process of crafting the best possible solution to a brief. Three things that I believe are key to think outside the box: passion, creativity and experience.
I’ve always been passionate about storytelling. With so many tools now available to tell stories in beautiful and technically exciting ways, through an increasing number of video channels, my enthusiasm and enjoyment just keeps growing.
For me, creativity is more than having an idea or interpreting someone else’s. It's about finding a unique way to approach that vision so you can can bring it into reality. I’m creatively minded with a technical knowledge, and know every step of the production process intimately. That gives me a unique ability to deliver high quality results.
I’ve worked in almost every step of the tv and film production process, and in every role have brought the same enthusiasm and dedication to high quality work. It makes me fairly unique. Plenty of people can shoot and edit and do motion graphics, but they are often generalists with a shallow depth in each. On my own professional journey, I’ve dedicated time to mastering specific roles. I now combine that wealth of knowledge and experience to do what I love - work with great people to create great work.
In my spare time I love to just hang out with my family, do some sort of adventure stuff with the wee man, hang out in the water kite boarding, in the snow snowboaridng, race down hill on the mountain bike or you can find me on the Dirtbike track with my Kawasaki KX250 to get real dirty.
What ever helps pushing the limits.
